At Just Live!, we want to inform everyone who reads our blog about all of our “island favorites.” Of course in our opinion there is nothing in Kauai as exciting or adventurous as ziplining, but there are some other fun activities – and some amazing food as well! We invite you to come and join us for a fun-filled day with our zipline tours, but in your spare time, here are some other things you and your family will enjoy!
Does a helicopter tour sound like a fantastic way to tour the island? If you’d love to fly around in a helicopter, we recommend Sunshine Helicopters located in Lihue in the Anchor Cove Shopping Center.
What about a catamaran trip? If this sounds more your speed, we suggest Holoholo Charters to tour the Napali Coast.
Do you plan to get married in Hawaii? If you’re planning on a ceremony in Kauai, may we recommend Aunty Aina? A wedding you will never forget, guaranteed.
Hiking is a hugely popular activity in Kauai, but be sure to bring along plenty of water to wet your whistle. On the east side of the island, we like Kuilau Trail into Moalepe Trail – ideal for those looking for a hiking experience that isn’t too easy, or too difficult. Also on the east side is the Sleeping Giant, a more difficult hike.
On the south shore you’ll find easy hiking at the Mahaulepu Ocean/Cliff Walk.
Want something really strenuous to test your ability? Try the Kalalau Trail on the north shore, a 22 mile trip that offers a truly amazing experience along the world famous Napali Coast.
Let’s not forget food! After all of the fun and adventure on Kauai, you’ll be famished. Some of our favorites include Monicos Taqueria if you’re craving Mexican, and Casa Di Amici if you’re craving Italian.
As you can see, there are plenty of attractions in Kauai, especially if you’re an active person who likes to get involved! Take a helicopter tour for a general overview of the area, then come take a zipline tour to REALLY get involved in nature, up close and personal. It’s an experience you’ll cherish forever!
