With lots of summer left before school starts back, many families will be camping on Kauai in the coming weeks. If you’re one of them, be sure to take one of our zipline tours! Camping is fun and relaxing, but you need to add in a little excitement and adventure.
Given the island’s beautiful beaches, mountains, and rain forests, it isn’t surprising so many people love to camp on Kauai. Whether you choose one of the state/county campsites and prefer a mountain cabin or stake up a tent on one of the beach campsites, no doubt you’ll enjoy the breathtaking vistas and tranquil surroundings.
Hanamaulu Beach is just about a mile from Lihue, where our Kauai zipline tours facility is located. This beach park has everything you need in terms of comfort – from showers and restrooms to a covered pavilion, picnic areas, and water fountains for drinking. You’ll love exploring the Nounou Mountain hiking trail and the Wailua River and Falls. If you love water, you’ll want to do a little snorkeling or scuba diving a little distance from the shore, where the water is clear.
Another good option is Anahola Beach Park where you’ll enjoy the white-sand shores and the kids can frolic in the water. Depending on the section of the beach you’re on, enjoy diving, surfing, snorkeling, and body boarding. There’s also an abundance of shade provided by trees that fringe the back of the shoreline, for those who want to get out of the sun.
No matter where you choose to camp you won’t be disappointed – after all, you’re on Kauai, or the “Garden Isle,” as it’s so often called. In addition to taking one of our Kauai zipline tours, be sure to visit our Outdoor Gear Store where you’ll find anything and everything you need, whether you choose to rent or buy. From camping stoves and cookware to sleeping bags, beach sheets, sleeping pads, tent stakes and even shirts, jackets, and rain gear for men and women, we have what you need. Just rent the gear you need, then you won’t face packing it up or lugging it home with you, unless you want to!
Swimming, snorkeling, surfing, lying on the beach under the stars, cooking breakfast at your campsite – it’s a wonderful, relaxing time to de-stress and clear your mind. Be sure to mix in the fun, exciting challenge of taking one of our eco-based zip line tours in Kauai!
