October 29th you’ll enjoy the Kirtan lei making class at the Bhakti Yoga Shack from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Experience a gathering that’s uplifting and includes sharing of sumptuous vegan cuisine, sacred kirtan world music, and of course, the fun and meditative art of creating fragrant, beautiful leis.
October 30th is when those who love to walk can take part in the Waimea Historic Walking Tour, from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m., a 2 1/2 hour tour at the West Kauai Visitor Center where you’ll be transported back in time to the landing of Captain Cook in Waimea. Along the landmarks you’ll learn about famous citizens, including the last king of Kauai!
October 31st, enjoy the North Shore’s Tasting Kauai Food Tour from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m., where you’ll enjoy delectable foods at a variety of food trucks, famous local restaurants, and unique specialty food stores while soaking up the history and culture that defines our beautiful island, while gaining new culinary perspectives and having an enormous amount of fun! Great for the entire family.
The Threads of Kauai’s History is held at the Kauai Marriott Resort & Beach Club on October 28, where you’ll experience Chinese jackets, barong shirts, Filipino terno, denim palaka work clothes, and other clothing from the past. Enjoy fabulous music, hula, and enticing pupus!
