Perhaps you’re vacationing in Kauai in October over the Halloween holiday, or just enjoy getting away during the fall when temperatures are cooling down in other areas of the U.S. If you’re headed our way, you’ll certainly want to take one of our Kauai zipline tours, but there are plenty of other activities going on as well, depending on when in October you’ll be on the island. We’ve included a few examples below!
October 3rd is when you can enjoy some great fresh, seasonal food on the North Shore at the Tasting Kauai Food Tour. Not only do you get to enjoy great food, it’s also educational and playful – a fun experience for the family.
October 5th is the East Side’s turn, as the Tasting Kauai Food Tour takes you on an adventure through the Royal Coconut Coast, where you’ll learn about taro farming, indulge in some of the best farm-to-table offerings on the East Side, sample Hawaiian cowboy (paniolo) food, and much more.
October 14th brings Habitat for Humanity’s Hammers N’Ales, a great time for those 21 and older who want to indulge in some delicious fare from local restaurants and have a couple of beers offered by craft brewers from the mainland and Hawaii. It’s our version of Oktoberfest, and you can bet there will be lots of fun entertainment and contests.
October 20th and 21st is when the 3rd Kauai Chocolate & Coffee Festival will take place in Hanapepe. This event showcases the coffee and cacao agricultural industries of Hawaii, along with chocolatiers, chefs, local farmers, baristas and more. Live entertainment, a local craft fair, chocolate and coffee sampling, even a silent auction are slated for this fun event!
Other events happening during October include the 29th Annual Emalani Festival Kauai on the 14th, the 21st Annual Coconut Festival on October 7th and 8th, and the He Inoa No Kaumuali’i Ho’olaule’a festival on October 7th (where you’ll find lots of food, crafts, music, displays, activities and more honoring Kauai’s beloved King).
Lots to do, and this is just a sampling! Never a dull moment on our beautiful island, and you’ll definitely want to make time for one of our Kauai eco-based zipline tours! Be sure to come see us or book your tour online.
