Lots of people who visit Kauai come to the island seeking adventure. Sure, lounging on the beach, shopping, or experiencing all of the great food options is fun. That said, some are simply more adventurous than others, seeking out all of the activities that are more challenging and that gets their adrenalin pumping. While our Kauai zipline tours are one of the more adventurous activities you’ll find on the Garden Isle, there are several others we want to share with you!
We talked about mountain tubing in one of our recent posts, and this is an adventure that is hugely popular – be sure to book this fun experience ahead of time, as it’s often sold out a week or two in advance.
Ocean rafting along the Na Pali Coast is certainly an adventure, along with sea kayaking and horseback riding. The Na Pali Coast is a must-see whether you do it by taking a sunset cruise, sailing catamaran, or helicopter.
If you’re passionate about horseback riding you will want to visit CJM Stables or Princeville Ranch, depending on whether you prefer a more remote beach-oriented ride or a bit more challenging ride to a waterfall complete with swimming hole and lunch in a true paradise. No matter where you’re staying on the island, both are worth the drive!
How about an ATV tour complete with wild turkeys, pheasant, boar and other livestock? The Ultimate Ranch Tour is one you won’t want to miss if you’re interested in seeing where George Clooney’s inherited estate in the movie “The Descendants” was located, or swinging on the Indiana Jones rope swing. It’s a little challenging, great for experienced ATV riders.
What’s more adventurous than zipping through the air on a cable? While there are several zipline tours in Kauai, we think ours is the most fun and exciting for several reasons, one being that it’s the only tree-top based tour, two that you’ll never touch the ground until the end! Zip from one aerial platform to the next and have the time of your life.
