If you’re planning to take one of our Kauai zipline tours while visiting the Garden Isle, you probably know not to wear a dress (if you’re a female). We know our guests have good common sense, but there are reasons you shouldn’t wear certain things during what will be the most fun you’ve ever had in your life! We will explain below so that you’re ready to go on an exciting adventure without any possible issues.
First, bring a few layers along with you in the event it’s rainy or a little chilly on the day of your tour. While the weather is typically warm and comfortable, you never know!
Consider capris, pants, or longer shorts. Short shorts aren’t the best choice for ziplining, as the safety harness and leg loops could irritate your skin if not covered.
A brightly colored tank top or t-shirt will help make your photos pop! Think sunny yellow, bright pink, orange, lime green – any color that will stand out against the green of the landscape and the blue sky. Tanks and tees are also comfortable, so you’ll enjoy your experience.
Leave your dangly jewelry in the trunk of your car or where you are staying. Long earrings and necklaces aren’t a good idea when you’re ziplining, and you wouldn’t want them to come off and disappear into the wilderness! Be sure to have your glasses or shades attached to a strap as well.
When it comes to footwear, choose lace-up shoes that fit snuggly whether hiking or tennis shoes. Sandals aren’t a good choice and could easily fall off. You also want to avoid crocs, clogs, or any type of footwear with a platform or heel, as you want a smooth, comfortable, and safe landing!
If you really MUST bring your phone along, make sure you have a fanny pack or a phone holder with strap so that you don’t risk losing it to the forest! We know you want to get those great photos, but posting on Instagram while you’re zipping through the wild blue yonder isn’t recommended and will take away from a wonderful, exciting experience.
