We have a few tips to help you capture the perfect “action” photo for those who engage in one of our zipline adventures!
First you’ll want to strike the perfect pose. While it may seem a daunting task to strike a pose while you’re soaring through the air, it really isn’t that hard. With your biggest smile, extend your arms and legs to show those who may see the photo just what a great – and wild – time you’re having. Be sure to act as you naturally would so the photo doesn’t seem posed. You might also want to consider throwing out a shaka sign if you’re really into the Hawaii vibe!
Wear vibrant colors that stand out. When you’re soaring among the treetops it’s important to wear colors that get noticed and don’t blend in with the green or brown colors of nature. Bright yellow or orange, neon green, light blue, pink, purple, or even patterned clothing such as shirts with bold stripes or checks will help you stand out in the photo. What you want is clothing that contrasts with your surroundings.
Face forward! Of course you want your face to show when ziplining in Kauai; otherwise, how will those friends and family members who view photos know that it’s you in the pictures? Whether you have long hair and need to keep it out of your face with a braid or ponytail or are in a position that has you facing opposite the camera, make your best effort to have your face in the photo!
Selfies aren’t the only way to get great photos. It can be a little tricky to capture the best action photos yourself when you’re soaring through the air and enjoying the excitement, so you may want to consider having a friend, family member, or even a guide snap those great photos so you don’t have to interrupt your enjoyment of the experience trying to capture the moment. Guides also know the best spots for photo ops, so consider asking.
