Explore. Whether some of the state parks such as Koke’e State Park or Waimea Canyon, you absolutely must experience the unbelievable beauty, lookout points and photo ops. Also great for those who love nothing better than hiking!
How about camping on the beach? Lots of people who visit Hawaii enjoy camping, especially when you can set up camp near the ocean. You will relax to the sounds of the ocean at night, and wake up ready to take a quick dip. It’s absolutely heavenly!
On a road trip, food is essential. Everyone knows the most important thing to do is enjoy new foods when vacationing, and in Kauai you must try some things you may never have tried before. These include shave ice, polk bowls and acai bowls. Consider Little Fish Coffee or Anake’s Juice bar for smoothies or an amazing acai bowl. Shave ice is a decadent sweet treat you’ll enjoy at Ono Ono Shave Ice or JoJo’s Shave ice. As far as poke bowls go, you can’t beat Pono Market or the Koloa Fish Market. Poke bowls are simply veggies that include a variety of seasonings along with cubed fish served over rice. Yum!
Helicopter tours are another thing you may want to take time to enjoy along your road trip.
