Of course taking a zipline tour should be at the top of your list of things to do in Lihue if you’re vacationing on Kauai this summer, but what are some of the other things you can do? Visiting Hawaii is great for those who love being active, exploring the landscape and culture, and of course laying on the beach or participating in water activities. If you’re staying a week, you’ll want to spend part of a day taking one of our eco-based zipline tours. Below you’ll find some other fun things to do in the Lihue area!
Taking a helicopter tour, visiting Wailua Falls, kayaking/canoeing, or booking a fishing charter or tour are just a few of the fun things your family will enjoy. If you enjoy touring rum facilities, you may want to consider the Koloa Rum Company, where you can enjoy free tastings of rum, cake, and other goodies. Of course you’ll want to take time to visit Kalapaki Beach where you’ll enjoy not only surfing, paddle boarding, swimming or kayaking, but also taking in the amazing scenery and landscape. You may also want to check out the shops, restaurants and bars near The Marriott.
The Grove Farm Sugar Plantation is another possibility if you’re interested in history and exploring artifacts, ultimately a “time capsule” of sugar plantation life. Naturally you’ll want to browse the gift and specialty shops on a day when you’re more into relaxing, and perhaps treat yourself at one of the wonderful spas in the area. With several golf courses and opportunities for those who enjoy snorkeling, scuba diving, or even ATV or 4 wheel-drive off-road tours, there’s never a shortage of things to see and do in our little piece of Heaven!
We can’t wait to see you at Just Live! Whether you’re interested in our spectacular Kauai zipline tours or are interested in our huge array of camping supplies and hiking gear, be sure to come by and visit! Lihue is small, but packed with exciting opportunities, adventure, and fun.
