When you come to the Garden Isle there’s a lot you want to fit in during your stay. Naturally you’ll want to spend some time on one of the gorgeous beaches soaking up the sun. You’ll probably want to take one of our awesome Kauai zipline tours, do a little shopping, a LOT of eating, and maybe hike or explore the island on an ATV. No doubt you’ve heard of SCUBA diving, but what about SNUBA diving? What’s up with that?
It’s fairly simple, really. SNUBA diving is a combination of snorkeling and SCUBA diving. If you’ve ever gone SCUBA diving (which you must be certified for), you know those air tanks can get cumbersome and heavy. Snorkeling is an entirely different thing, and you can’t get too far under the surface because you have to come up for air. So, SNUBA diving seems to be the ideal fit for those who want to explore 15 or 20 feet down without all of the worries.
So how does it work? Rather than carrying an air tank with you while you’re swimming, it’s connected to a raft above the water. A long hose connects the diver and the air tank, making it possible to swim freely and enjoy your time without having to worry about depths or maintaining your air supply – or even having to learn how to use an air tank. Easy, and fun!
If you love swimming and exploring all the beautiful sea life and creatures that live below the water’s surface, you’ll definitely want to go SNUBA diving while you’re here!
If you’re headed to Kauai in the near future, be sure to book one of our amazing zipline tours so you can explore the beauty of the area from high above the ground! As the old song goes, “Fly like an eagle . . . “. We hope to see you at Just Live! soon.
