Anyone who’s taken one of our Kauai zipline tours knows it’s a thrilling and fun adventure. Truthfully, nearly any zipline you ride across the country is probably exciting, and even a little frightening if you’re a first-timer. Part of the fun of taking a zipline tour is the “fear factor” you experience initially, before you take that first step off the platform and fly out high above the landscape. It’s at that point you realize how truly thrilling and fun it is. If you’re a movie buff, you may have seen a few movies that include zipline scenes. Some of these don’t end so well, but it’s all in good fun!

On the big screen, ziplines are often used to make a quick getaway just in the nick of time. Unfortunately, some of these scenes don’t end so well for characters in the movies. For instance, in Grown Ups, Wiley is chasing Lenny who spins and flips into the water; Wiley’s fate isn’t so much fun, considering he goes crashing through the wall of a building. This is all to say that ziplining is a fun thrill ride for people of all ages, whether kids or adults, or those “kids at heart” that may be 60 or 70 years old.
