While we want you to enjoy an exciting and fun adventure on our Kauai zipline tours, it’s important to know that you shouldn’t make your decision to participate on a whim without being prepared first! While there aren’t a lot of rules or restrictions, there are a few things you should know before you decide to soar through the air on our beautiful island. Hopefully the info below will be helpful if you’re coming to the Garden Isle on vacation this spring or summer!
Safety is no. 1. Injuries can happen no matter what activity you’re participating in, so be sure the zipline facility you choose puts safety first! From harnesses and safety helmets to the condition of equipment such as cables and braking systems, always be sure you’re going with a zipline company who puts the safety of you and your family first and foremost and who has their facility inspected and maintained regularly.
What you wear matters. Close-toed footwear and long pants are recommended so that you’re protected during your zipline adventure, and it’s important to get long hair out of the way as well by putting it in a ponytail or braid. Remove your jewelry before taking a tour so that it doesn’t become damaged or lost during your adventure!
Pay close attention to your guide. The primary purpose of a guide is to make sure that anyone participating in a zipline tour, whether experienced or a first-timer, enjoys a safe experience. From directions on how to handle the equipment to what you can expect during your tour, paying attention to every detail will ensure the safety of not only yourself, but your friends or family members.
Be sure you’ve set aside plenty of time. While zipline tours vary in length from one facility to another, ours take a few hours depending on which you choose. Be sure to mark out plenty of time in your schedule on the day you’re going to ride our ziplines so you won’t be rushed and stressed out!
