Well, other than pregnancy or health issues, that is. If you’re a healthy person who’s never taken a zipline tour in Kauai, what’s your excuse? Are you afraid it’s difficult, that you’ll get up in the air and freak out, or that your fear of heights will cause you to have to back out and be embarrassed? Not likely! Because it’s so fun and exciting, get the idea out of your head that you have to keep two feet on the ground. If you don’t, you’re missing out BIG time!
Taking one of our zipline tours is extremely safe, so you never need to worry. In fact, when compared to riding in a car, riding a bicycle, or doing any other of the dozens of things you probably do daily or on a regular basis, it’s just as safe – if not safer!
Depending on the zipline tour you take (they’re all over the country today), most range in height from 30 to more than 1,000 feet in the air. While it may sound frightening, it’s actually very enlightening! Our tours average about 80 to 85 feet above the ground, just above the treetops. You may think you’ll be inclined to close your eyes as you take off on your adventure, but you won’t. Why? You won’t want to miss the breathtaking scenic beauty that surrounds you! Even if you’re someone who fear heights, you’ll find that riding a zipline isn’t scary at all.
Won’t learning what to do be difficult? In a word, no. You simply don gloves and a helmet, grip a handlebar, get tucked and securely fastened into your harness, and you’re ready to go after listening carefully to the guides, who instruct you along the way. No one ever takes off on this high-flying, adrenaline pumping experience without knowing exactly how it works and what they’re supposed to do. Even for young children, it’s so easy! Not hard, not scary, it’s simply the most excitement and the biggest adventure you’ll probably ever experience in your life!
